  • Goodbye Queen of Daytime Television

Just minutes ago Oprah announced to the Las Angeles region via her talkshow that season 25 (starting january) will infact be her last.

She said the show had become her life and she will greatly miss her "yellow brick road of blessings."

I'm 16 and personally grew up with this show in my living room every day after school. Hearing the news brought tears to my eyes and an empty feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I thought this was going to be about Susan Lucci, The REAL Queen of daytime TV. Oprah is just the queen of daytime talk shows.

I won't miss it. I can't remember the last time I watched Oprah. I know some of my friends will miss watching the audience lose their flipping minds though.

I can't really say I'm sad about this.

What REALLY makes me sad is that she is getting her own network.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter
