  • Disney Hotel Workers Stage 3-Hour Walkout

The San Jose Mercury News reports that about 200 Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier Hotel workers walked off the job Friday in protest over working conditions, citing a greater workload in newly renovated hotel rooms. According to the Mercury News:

The union says Disney's remodeled hotel rooms are harder to clean, but the resort didn't cut the number of rooms a housekeeper must clean in a day.
The walkout lasted three hours. Disney reported that other hotel workers took over for the absent housekeeping staff and guest rooms were cleaned with no disruption to guests.
