  • Annette Funicello 1995 TV movie

    Hello!

I don't know if any of you remember this movie, but in 1995, CBS aired a biopic movie titled, A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes: The Annette Funicello Story. I remember loving this movie as a kid, and I must have watched it more than once on TV, and maybe even had it recorded on VHS at one point. For months, I have been searching for this movie online, hoping to find it on YouTube. I know that it is available to own on DVD on the Video Beat website, but I'm not about to spend $29 for a DVD that someone made by copying it from VHS (not sure if the quality will be that great). Anyways, I was wondering, do any of you know if this is available to view online for free, or where it can be purchased for a cheaper price? I know it has to be out there somewhere!! :-)

I remember coming across this DVD at Suncoast Motion Picture Company I think. I wanna say it was $9.99 or $14.99. Got it for my Mom as a Christmas gift. You might wanna haunt bargain bins of movie stores in your area when you have time to kill. Maybe you'll get lucky.

I remember seeing that! I loved the way Walt Disney was portrayed in the film - so kind and caring. Annette really thought of him as her uncle. It was a very good, if somewhat sad (because of her illness) movie.

Yeah I loved how Walt Disney was portrayed in this film, and that the movie took you "behind the scenes" of what it was like to work for Disney back in the day!
