I had to read Frankenstein way back in 7th grade... it was interesting at times, but oh so confusing.
Right now I'm reading Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie, one of my favorite authors. The way he intertwines countless themes and symbols and somehow it all makes sense.... I'm so jealous of his talent. I would highly recommend anything by him for people looking for an entertaining, yet highly intellectual read.

Justice Hall (a Mary Russell Novel) by LAURIE R. KING

It is the 4 or 5 book in the about Mary Russell who is Sherlock Holmes young apprentice and then partner which takes place after WW one.

The Beekeeper's Apprentice is the first book and the best place to start where Mary grows up and is trained by Holmes.

If you are a Sherlock Holmes fan these are MUST read books.... lots of fun also.

Well right now, I don't get to read for pleasure. I'm taking an English lit class called Views of Women from Fiction to Film. Right now we are reading Jane Austen's Emma and soon we will be reading Orlando by Vriginia Wolff. The premise of the class is to discuss how well these books were adapted to the silver screen. It's good times!!!

I got two books this past Christmas and right now I'm reading one of them (which I'm about half way through:
The Da Vinci Code (Illustrated Edition)
The next book I'm gonna read is the other one I got as a gift:
State of Fear by Michael Crichton

                      I'm also reading:
                      Business Law
                      Advertising and Promotion
                      Marketing Research
                      Marketing Management
                      Small Business

Yup, the joys of being a full time Business Administration student!

Currently on the counter in my...uh..."library" is Stalking the Wild Pendulum by Itzhak Bentov and Living Budda, Living Christ by Thich Nhat Hanh. As a reward for staying for 10 years at the hospital I work at I was given $200 in gift certificates to where ever I wanted. I got $100 to Barnes and Noble and $100 to Borders. Next in my reading que will be several more of the Discworld books by Terry Pratchett, Dune: The Butlerian Jihad, Dune: The Machine Crusade (although I'll probably wait for the 3rd to hit paperback before I actually start those), and Comfortable with Uncertainty by Pema Chodron.

This week I've been reading "The Hand of Dinotopia." Those books are addicting! Now if only they'd make a decent movie version...

I have been reading quite a few books lately including:

Tishomingo Blues, How to Be Like Walt, The Holcroft Covenant, Orphans Preferred, The Dante Club, Mouse Tales, The Cold Six Thousand, Shooting the Sun

I think I need to finish a few of these...
Eglantine, Eglantine, oh how you shine!
I don't believe in giving animals ridiculous names. I call him Cosmic Creepers...
...and if you've got no other choice, you know you can follow my voice...

I, like the rest of America, only pretend to read books. Therefore, I'm about to read 'War and Peace' and 'Atlas Shrugged'.

lol... I only WISH I could pretend to read books that were so big!

I start and stop books constantly. It depends on my mood. Right now, I'm reading Running With Scissors.
She walks in beauty, like the night
                                    Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes.....
