  • "Buzz' Price has passed away

Yesterday the Walt Disney Family Museum and D23 annouced the Harrison "Buzz" Price passed away on Sunday. He was 89 years old.

Buzz was the reseach economist at SRI (and later ERA) that did many of the economic impact studies for Walt Disney, including the one which located Disneyland in Anaheim.

I got a brief chance to meet him and a listen to him talk about the Disneyland study a few weeks ago at the Museum. The man was quite a character.

I believe most people knew that Buzz was in poor health and that this would probably be his last year. He's had serious health problems for a long time. He was an extremely smart and generous person.

    Here, view this:

It was posted (I presume by the family) a couple days before Buzz passed. It's an excellent video. I hope they post more from these interviews at some later date.

Oh goodness what sad news. My condolences to his family, he sounds like he was a nice man.

He was quite a man and more important to Disney history than many believe. I had a chance to join Buzz, his wife Anne, and their son David for lunch and the stories of his days with Walt were riveting. A sad day.
