  • Best Halloween Movies

What are all of your favorite movies to watch during the month of October to prepare and get excited for Halloween?

    My personal favorites are:
    - Beetlejuice
    - A Nightmare On Elm Street
    - The Exorcist
    - Edward Scissorhands (although I like it best at Christmas time)
    - Bram Stoker's Dracula
    - Sleepy Hollow
    - Ghostbusters

^ I like the first two on your list.

I think "Sixth Sense," "What Lies Beneath," "The Ring," and "Gothika" are the movies that scared me the most the first time I watched them. Oh and "The Skelton Key" is really disturbing. It gives me the creeps to watch it and yet I do.

let me bleed a little tale. see back in the old days of 1931, redubbing/subtitles was unheard of. rather studios produced one english domestic film and a foreign language international duplicate together. this is the reason for SPAINISH DRACULA(El Dracul), and ironicaly, the production value of the twin exceeds the original. there's more camera movement, more violence and less wooden acting. the film single flaw ,of all things, is the Count himself! the actor, Carlos Morciez, can not stand in the powerful atmosphere created by Lugosi, and at times just looks silly, and reslembles Nicholas Cage.

VHS copies do exist, yet their release in the early 80's doubts their availibility.

other haunted must-sees include John Carpenter's Halloween 1&2, Hell Night, Trick 'R Treat(2005) and Ernest Scared Stupid.

                              shoots bullets!
