  • DVD release already announced for GOF

According to, the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire DVD will be released on April 4, 2006. By comparison, Chamber of Secrets was released on November 15, 2002, and the DVD hit stores on April 11, 2003. There was a six and a half month gap between the release of Sorcerer's Stone in theatres and on DVD, and a five and a half month wait for the Prisoner of Azkaban DVD, making this our shortest wait yet.

Mike Newell said that he will record a director's commentary for the DVD sometime in the coming months, so we can expect that feature on what we hope will be a much-improved DVD. A launch party will be held in London several days before April 4, though details are scarce at the present time.

Woo, it's right before my birthday
      Good morning, son
      In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
      It was pain
      Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
