He still look'n good, and yes. This is Tom Cruise rock'n it out for the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages as as rocker Stacee Jaxx. It was posted on his Twitter. The film is directed by Adam Shankman and opens June 1st 2012.

Cruise plays Stacee Jaxx, an aging musician whose glory days are long past, in the anticipated movie, which had a successful touring run in theaters recently with American Idol alum Constantine Maroulis in the lead.

He could do this but NOT a film adaptation of The Vampire Lestat? Pssshhh.

I don't mind them making a movie of this play, but I was looking forward to seeing Mitchell "Keith Stone" Jarvis reprise his role as Lonny. Turns out it'll be Russell Brand doing the role in the movie. Meh.

At least Mary J. Blige is in it, as Justice. That, I can look forward to.
