...or not. I am a bit bummed that I can't go to two fan conventions at the same time, I had think about ether going to this year's Worldcon, (World Science & Fantasy Convention,) in Reno or The second D23 Expo; but since I haven't gone to a Worldcon in awhile, I chose that over D23 Expo.

Comic-Con just got a giant guest: Steven Spielberg will attend the San Diego convention for the first time on July 22.

He'll bring footage from Paramount's upcoming "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn," and participate in a panel discussion moderated by the Los Angeles Times' Geoff Boucher, the Times reported Wednesday.

The panel, before about 6,000 people, begins at 11 a.m. in Hall H. Spielberg also will receive the convention's Inkpot Award. Previous winners include Ray Bradbury, Jack Kirby and R. Crumb.

Spielberg will receive an Inkpot Award before the panel, which begins at 11 a.m. in Hall H.
Fans had hoped that Spielberg, who directed "Jaws," "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," "Raiders of the Lost Ark," "Saving Private Ryan," "Schindler's List" and "Munich," among others, is coming through.

Paramount will release "Tintin" on Dec. 23.
