  • Matterhorn Based Adventure Film In The Works Called "The Hill"

Disney has hired screenwriter Jason dean Hall to develop the storyline about five adventurous explorers that are invited to climb to the top of the famous mountain for some mysteriously unknown reason. During the course of there trek they encounter yetis. will the yetis be good natured or will therir behavior be absolutely abominable? We'll have to wait and see if this new film undertaking will become another worldwide hit like the $3.7 money making phenominon, Pirates of the Caribbean. The Hill is certainly a great dramatic sounding working title.

one has to wonder if Expedition: Everest's "disco yeti" will make a cameo appearance in order to provide some comedy relief...

As much as I love the ride, this will not see the light of day, even with a Disney stamp. Most wont see a movie that takes place on a moutain. Might as well make Cliffhanger 2 or a horror film about a abominable snowman discovered at the Matterhorn. we all know that won't fly with exe's either, just drop the dumb idea.

Look at what's happening the re-make of the Haunted Mansion (it's dead), Maleficent (the fire isn't coming out of the dragon), and is the Jungle Cruise even sailed for a go yet?

And why not? Disney has the money from it's long list of successful ventures to take any risks that it wants on new projects. That's what the business world is all about. taking educated risks....it's a lot like panning for gold. Race To Space Mountain was profitable enough. The Hill has a lot of potential if made right.

Plus, Guillermo is taking the time to make sure the new Haunted Mansion movie is a quality production, unlike Disney's rinky dink first attempt a few years back. I'd also prefer to see The Jungle Cruise flick take time to produce as opposed to slapping it together as if it was on rush order. The Magic Kingdom intrigues me to no end as it will be the first Disney feature film to be primarily shot inside a park. Don't think that guests willing to work as extras will be hard to find
          there. LOL!
