Now, my one true love is Dame Judi, but I have to give Ms. Huffman kudos for taking this role. It ain't easy to play that character.
    I love Reese, too. But...

And Keira Knightley bugs me. Her mouth is always open, even when she isn't talking.

It's got to be Reese Witherspoon. She nailed the role of June Carter Cash. Just nailed it with one of the great performances in quite a while. She truly deserves that Oscar.

Reese Witherspoon -hands down. Tough role for her in Walk the Line, in which she had to sing most of film. Which I thought was amazing that she could sing so well.

          Felicity Huffman - TRANSAMERICA

It doesn't get any more difficult than this. Felicity skillfully played a man becoming a woman in this gender bending tale. Academy voters love a challenging role, I'd think that this one fits the bill.

I chose Reese, but I think it will be a tough one because of how much the critics are talking about Felicity. I have not seen Transamerica so I can't really say whether I personally feel her perfromance was Oscar worthy.

This one is such a toss up I can't even pick just one. Love Reese, and Oscar voters love actors who portray real people (especially when it involves singing). Then again, I also love Felicity and while I haven't seen the film voters have a tendency to go for this sort of challenge (especially when it involves heavy physical transformation). I think this will be the most hotly contested race of the night possibly.

Of course there is always the outside chance that the two favorites would cancel each other out and leave room for a surprise upset, but I have no idea who that would be.

Judi couldn't act her way out of a paper sack! *

Keira....too pretty to be Elizabeth Bennett.

                  Charlize...who actually watched that movie?

Reese Witherspoon...her husband BUGS and her twang has doubled this year.

So my answer would have to be Miss Felicity.

Okay...the only movies I saw were North Country (very very good) and Pride & Prejudice (good, not great), and the acting was really....good. I'm dying to see Transamerica though. Walk the Line I will have to see before the Oscars....although I'm not actually looking forward to it....nails on a chalkboard to me. I'm so grumpy and old now.

*please note that that's a joke.

Felicity was excellent but Reese was even better.

Loved Reese. Been planning to see "Mrs. Henderson Presents" and "Transamerica", so looking forward to seeing those performances. Don't think I can deal with watching "North Country" and had no interest in "Pride and Prejudice" once I heard things about this version.

I say Reese, but is she doesn't win, it will most likely be Felicity Huffman.

You may have the best relationship in the world with your husband, but there are just times you need your girlfriends. Better yet... Natalie Portman for her stunning portrayal of Padme in Star Wars Ep III.
