...I can still remember when that music used to make me smile.
I knew if I had my chance I could make the people dance
And maybe the'd be happy for awhile.
But February made me shiver with every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep. I couldn't take one more step.
I can't remember if I cried when I read about his widowed bride
But something touched me deep inside
    The day the music died.

    -Don Mclean American Pie

Today is February 3rd. 47 years ago on a cold, snowy morning a small plane carrieing Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and JP, "The Big Bopper" Richardson, three Rock N' Roll stars of that time, crashed in a small field near Clear Lake Iowa. the "Three Stars" were killed instantly, along with the pilot. However to this very day their music and memories live on. May they Rest In Peace.
