Michelle Monaghan and Casey Affleck are in final talks to star in Ben Affleck's directorial debut, Gone, Baby Gone, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The Miramax feature is based on the Dennis Lehane novel of the same name and was adapted by Affleck. The story revolves around two Boston private eyes who investigate the case of a missing child in a neighborhood of broken families, bitter cops and crazy ex-cons.

Monaghan and Casey Affleck, who is Ben's brother, will play the private detectives. A summer shoot in Boston is planned for the film.

Monaghan next appears in Mission: Impossible III and Casey stars in upcoming The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
