  • New Disney Cruise Line ports announced at Epcot

    http://www.mickeynews.com/News/Displ...d_E_3216Cruise

Much to my dismay, the UK is not mentioned.

Jay Rasulo was at Epcot today announcing the repositioning cruise from Florida to Barcelona, Spain at the World Showcase, with a nice photo featuring Italy in the background.

The Magic will stop off at Spain, France and Italy. It will be interesting to see how CMs will handle all the language barriers - Spanish, French, Italian and English! Thats not counting the possible Germans, Belgians and Portuguese who will go on the cruises. And it didn't mention anything about joint vacations with the Disneyland Resort Paris.

I just looked at the itineraries on disneycruise.com and I am excited! I have always wanted to cruise the Mediterranean and Disney is involved. Now the only problem is coming up with the $3,000 to do this oh and getting over my fear of being on a plane for 12 hours.

We're almost certain that we're doing the eastbound repo. I just LOVE the thought of six consecutive "At Sea" days.

Lucky! Six days at sea sounds like heaven. I would love to do the 11 night.

Here is the official press release from the brand new Disney Cruise Line media portal (It seems to have been set up just for this announcement and the Magic Returning from Dry Dock, because it was all part of WDW's Media Portal up until about 2 weeks ago).

You need a password to see the images of the Ceremony and the Magic's New Features (PM me if you are desperate).

I don't know about DCL specifically but most cruise lines employee people who are not native english speakers anyway, so I'm sure it won't be too dificult of a transition.

Jay Rasulo says no.... Or it could be that Cunard wanted to be the only cruise line in the Villiage...

Anyone seen the sailing dates and notice any gaps? Does it look like they'll put her into her home shipyard while she's over there? I'd think it'd be a great opportunity to do some work that only can be done over there.

As soon as the reservation line opens up, I am booking a cruise! This will be so cool as I have always wanted to go to Europe and take a Disney cruise. Two in one! Then I will ship off to Disneyland Paris after the cruise...I am so excited!

DM - are you doing one of the repo cruises?

We've actually decided upon the westbound in August instead.

I'm going to do the Mediterranean crusies. I would have loved to do a westbound cruise and meet up with fellow chatters, but the dates for it were a little too late into August. A transatlantic cruise was what I originally wanted to do because it would leave a few days in a row where I could just take in the ship, but the ship leaves too early in May since my school gets out first week of June.

Good news! It looks like there is a possibility that I might be doing a Mederteranian Cruise with Disney! Nothing is set in stone, but it's 'likely' at the moment!

I'm gunna try and go for a 1 bedroom suite as soon as the reservation line opens. You think its going to be killer to try and make a reservation for one of the cruises once the line opens?
