  • Disney's On the Record (musical)

I think we're going to buy two Broadway subscriptions.....in part because of the description of this show. I hope it's a good one.

We'll also be seeing The Lion King, Bye Bye Birdy, Joseph, and Hairspray (a fave of mine). We'll also be paying an additional amount to see Mamma Mia.

If anyone sees On the Record, I'd love to hear about it!

Where is this playing? Sounds like Steps in Time from DCA.

That is soo cool! I wanna go! Now I'll have to check it out and see if it's coming to Phoenix or Tucson...
      Us girls, we're so magical.
Soft skin, red lips, so kissable.
      Hard to resist, so touchable.
      Too good to deny it.
Ain't no big deal, it's innocent.

Please, save yourself the pain and SKIP Bye-Bye Birdie! It's terrible!

Make me confused; mock me with praise. Let me be used. Vary my days. But alone is alone, not alive. Somebody crowd me with love, somebody force me to care. Somebody let me come through, I'll always be there as frightened as you, to help us survive being alive."

Oops, sorry. The original post was about next year's Broadway series in Portland, Oregon. Probably not that helpful to you......

Orange County Performing Arts Center has it "on the record" for later this year, Sept. I think Disneyphile said above. So happy to be a season ticket holder this time around!

Grumpy4 and I will be happy to buy you a pre-show drink, if you wanna come with us!

NOoooo! It was already replacing another show in our Broadway series as it is! Now I wonder what we'll get instead.

Completely true. My best friend is in the show and told me yesterday that Denver is indeed the last stop. Not a huge surprise to them since 3 people have already quit the show out of desperation and houses have been barely 1/2 full. The good news is the double CD will come out in March and is reported to be excellent.

I saw it in December here in Minnesota. I personally loved it. I bought the soundtrack that they are mailing in March. They said it would come out then and be in stores by Sept. But that was months ago. I'm sorry to see it go. I enjoyed it. The young girls in their princess dresses probably didn't like it that much. This sort of show would be a great addition to the park and/or Downtown Disney in my opinion. I liked the mixing between songs not to mention I knew them all. The 14 year olds next to me kept looking them up to see where they were from. (They were rather loud too.) I'm not the big expert on shows either but it was entertaining to me.

As for the person who mentioned it at a school, that's cool. We had a musical that was themed and some kids and I always wished we could do a Disney segment of it. Oh well. I graduated. heh.
