Iger, Weiss update community leaders on Disney

For the second year in a row, the Walt Disney Co.'s executive team hosted Central Florida community leaders for an update on the company's activities and plans Thursday.

However, details on future plans were few and far between. There were no announcements regarding any changes, growth or expansion for the Central Florida resort, which employs 57,000 people.

The event, held at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, was tied to the official April 7 opening of Disney's new thrill ride, Expedition Everest.

Well, at least they're saying all the right things about reinvesting in the existing WDW parks; now let's make sure they actually do it!

And funny how he says that at HKDL, Main Street USA is considered an attraction unto itself. That's the way it used to be here too!!!!!!!!!!

personally i wish they would replace weiss. but not from the cruiseline this time. poor cruiseline they keep canabalizing their management. I will say it's a shame that one of the park heads isn't considered good enough to head up the entire complex.
