The Jetson Moving Forward at WB
    Source: Variety
    May 3, 2006

Warner Bros. Pictures is moving forward on the big screen version of The Jetsons. bringing in Donald De Line to produce and Adam F. Goldberg to write a new screenplay, reports Variety.

De Line will produce the live-action feature with Denise Di Novi, who has been developing the comedy project for well over a decade, working with a string of writers.

The storyline will be based on the popular animated Hanna-Barbera TV show, which revolved around the travails of George Jetson, wife Jane, daughter Judy, son Elroy and their dog, Astro.

Odd. I can't see this working. Still, I loved the Flintstones movies.

I've been seeing off and on rumors about a Jetsons film for as long as I've been reading internet rumor sites. The one and only name I've ever seen mentioned for George was Steve Martin.

I could see Danny Devito doing a darn convincing Mr. Spacely.

Wasn't the animated film good enough?
          Ugh... remakes, adaptations, remakes
I see this totally not working out
There could be briliant casting choices, or mistakes... most likely we'll end up with Lindsey Lohan or some other airhead teenage actress playing Judy
I just wouldn't want this ending up like the Scooby-Doo films... which I hated :thumbdown
