I loved that movie when I was little. I'll have to pick it up at Target.
Eglantine, Eglantine, oh how you shine!
I don't believe in giving animals ridiculous names. I call him Cosmic Creepers...

This movie has inspired me almost more than any other when I was a child. I would say a day doesn't go by where I don't think and marvel about this film. The timing of your post couldn't have been more perfect I was actually researching this film this morning and looking to see what ever became of David played by Joey Cramer. He went on to do one more film and disappeared.
As a screenwriter my creative juices have been thinking a lot about a sequel, remake or revisit of this movie expanding upon new veins and approachs. Didn't ever wonder where Max's world was? Who were his people? Are the robots?
This film will celebrate its 20th anniversery in 2006 and it still holds up. Even the digital effects and interior design of the ship haven't been matched in that many sci-fi films or shows since then. Should Disney reopen this to franchise or tv movies or shows?

awww this was one of those movies that I watched a few times as a kid (on TV) so cheesey but I loved it. My bro bought the DVD when it came out a few weeks ago, and I've been meaning to watch it.
"Tonight I wash my hands of you
You set the bar I could not live up to
Tonight the light is breaking through
So thank you very little and send me postcards from hell"
Pee Wee Herman did the voice of "the Navigator" a robotic alien that flew the living ship. Also time travel. It was a very well done movie and I remember it well. It holds up very well, and has a great family story.
ahhhh... a childhood favorite. i have the DVD, but have only had a chance to watch it once because my fiance is not a fan. Perhaps Saturday morning when she is at work this will have to be my veg on the couch film.
I love Flight of the Navigator! Funny that I always forget that it was a Disney release though. I saw it again for the first time in YEARS about a month ago and I loved it every bit as much as I did back in the day. It holds up extremely well. We need to see more love for this movie!
What if the Hokey-Pokey really is what it's all about?
This and The Cat From Outer Space are about on the same goofy level to me.. Not to say they're bad, just not anything I ever really got into, like The Neverending Story. That kid's whining made me want to jump into the film a forcibly jam a spine in his back, since he seemed to have lost his...
Honor those who fall under the sword.
But pity the warrior who has slain all his enemies.
This was one of my faves growing up..that and goonies. I still think of flight of the navigator each time i hear beach boys!
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
Marge: Pink.
Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"
I remember this movie, and I remember enjoying it very much as a kid. I'd be willing to spend $5-7, but $10 sounds a little steep. Maybe I'll rent it and if it still holds up I'll pick it up.
Isn't there a scene in the movie where he's in a hospital and he gets some toys as presents? I seem to remember there being toys in this movie, anyone remember?
Like It, I own it!! I think this is a great movie!! I always enjoy movies with Time travel involved. Good film.

wouldn't that then put the total price somewhere in the 10-15 dollar range (depending on where and when you rent)?? if you're gonna spend that, why not just spend the $10 and get it over with? just one of those silly thoughts that wanders through my mind....
