GET YOUR MOUSE Ears out for another trip to Disneyland with David Koenig. The Aliso Viejo author has penned another book on the Magic Kingdom "More Mouse Tales: A Closer Peek Backstage at Disneyland."

And Koenig does just that, making the reader feel like one of the "cast members" at the Anaheim theme park. In it, Koenig chronicles the funny, sometimes hilarious, incidents at have occurred at the Happiest Place on Earth. He also unveils the corporate world that runs the giant park.
Earlier, this business editor wrote the best-selling "Mouse Tales: A Behind the Ears Look at Disneyland." Koenig contends that management has made serious cuts in everything from personnel to maintenance despite Disneyland's high profit margin. As a result, he thinks Disneyland has become a "less spectacular, less unique and, tragically, more dangerous environment."

After earning a journalism degree at Cal State Fullerton, the young writer began researching material for his first book. Koenig interviewed more than a 400 Disneyland employees to learn how Walt Disney's family business became a corporate giant. He works as a senior editor at "The Merchant Magazine," an 80-year-old business journal.

"...management has made serious cuts in everything from personnel to maintenance despite Disneyland's high profit margin. As a result, he thinks Disneyland has become a 'less spectacular, less unique and, tragically, more dangerous environment.'"
I was wondering about this quote. Seems more fitting for a book on DL that would have come out a few years ago. Is it up-to-date? Will he give props to Greg Ouimet and everything that's been done right lately?

so if this was done in the late 90's what he says makes sense, of course now I don't think it's buget cuts that keeps the staffing levels down.
