  • Charlotte's Web Teaser

    http://www.nick.com/all_nick/movies/charlottesweb/

It looks pretty good. I've enjoyed most of the films I've seen from Walden Media thus far, and doesn't look like they'll dissapoint this time either. I think it's great that there is a company like Walden putting out great family films based on literature. Their films have taken me back to the stories/books I loved during my own childhoos as well as introducing me to newer tales that are being read by younger generations.

Oh it looks fantastic! I didn't realize it was going to be live action. I had my reserves, as I figured yet another cg to compete with the original annimated, but this looks very touching....even if it has Dakota.
Marge: Barnacle Bill's Home Pregnancy Test? Homer, shouldn't we have gone with a better-known brand?
Homer: But Marge, this one came with a corn-cob pipe!
Marge: [reading from the test box] "Ahoy, Maties! If the water turns blue, a baby for you! If purple ye see, no baby thar be!"
Homer: So, which is it? Blue or purple?
    Marge: Pink.
    Homer: D'oh!
Marge: "If ye test should fail, to a doctor set sail!"

I'm sure I'll see it, my daughter is reading the book for the third time right now. But I really, really don't care for Dakota Fanning. She's creepy. And I always pictured Fern as a redhead... go figure.

I think she's creepy, too. She's to 'aware' if that makes any sort of sense.

Red head with freckles....that's what I imagined.

          Re: Charlotte's Web Teaser

I agree with everyone. I can see her in a metting with her agent looking like the perfect hollywood star, throwing a Veruca Salt-esque tantrum:

"If you don't get me Charlotte's Web, you will never work in this town again...Mom."

The movie looks cute. I can't believe how many big names are in the movie.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

          NO GOATS!

Ugh... why? WHY?! The original Chuck Jones animated one is just fine. I was actually kinda tempted to get it on DVD today (Wal-Mart had it for $7.50).

I was never too thrilled with the animated version. The voice of Fern just annoyed me. This movie looks so cute though! I will probably end of seeing it, because it's one of my sister's favorite books/movies.

Dakota Fanning is cute and all, but I agree with mamabot. I can see her throwing a tantrum and stuff since she's gotten so famous so fast.

Wow, it looks great to me. I love Dakota Fanning but I always pictured Fern as a redhead with freckles, too. That's strange, was she described that way in the book, maybe? Or just because she's got darker hair in the animated film? Many big names in this one, I can't wait to take my girls to see it!

I thought it looked great until the Charlotte started talking and out came Julia Robert's voice...her voice gets on my last nerve.

why does this need to be remade into a modern live action movie??

(interesting Walden media is attatched.. didn't they have something else for holiday season?)

My wife and I had the exact same feelings. It gets really old, really fast.
