  • David Fincher on editing 'Zodiac'

    Source: Apple Computer, Inc.
Director David Fincher gives some insight on editing his upcoming film Zodiac on a video clip promoting Apple's "Final Cut Pro" software.

The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Edwards and Ezra Buzzington.

The hi-res video shows some segments from the film and how the film was edited. It's actually pretty cool to see how a Mac and this software are used to edit feature films. As the video suggests, technology has gotten to the point where anyone can now edit major motion pictures on their laptop.

Based on the true story of one of the most intriguing unsolved crimes in the nation's history, Zodiac is a thriller from David Fincher, director of Se7en and Fight Club. As a serial killer terrifies the San Francisco Bay Area and taunts police with his ciphers and letters, investigators in four jurisdictions search for the murderer. The case will become an obsession for four men as their lives and careers are built and destroyed by the endless trail of clues.

Zodiac is scheduled to be released January 19, 2007.

Love Fincher he is awesome! Fight Club ruled...you have to watch it at least 10 times. He also did The Game. I am looking forward to this movie...
