  • Pixar film after Cars!

Just stumbled upon a trailer for the new Pixar film for 2007 called "Ratatouille", it looks great.

It's all about a french rat living under a restaurant in Paris, the animation is the best i have ever seen, should be great.

The trailer is in french but still very watchable.

Go to www.dlrp.fr you'll see a pic on the right hand side of what looks like a fat brown mouse with a small blue one, click in it and enjoy.

P.s translate the page first by clicking on the British flag at the top.

    ENJOY!!!!

Fortunately, the teaser looks a little more enticing than Cars first trailer. And overall, the response to it has been a little more positive than the initial response to Cars. It looks better than most of the other previews out for other animated films, including Meet the Robinsons. It reminds me more of Finding Nemo seeing how I LOVED the teaser at first glance. The characters are cute, it was plenty funny, and the audience responded really well to it. I can't wait to see it...but I am blabbing on.

I saw Cars again today. Ratatouille looks like it might be a really fun film, although I have no idea what kind of plotline they might give it.

I don't think I have ever liked a trailer for any Pixar movie, but who cares about trailers? It's twice as fun when you get to see the jokes for the first time and not after seeing them 20 times on tv.

I thought the trailer was cute, it actually had the audience laughing unlike the other retraded movies that are going to be chucked out this year....

But that's just 100 peeps opinions... *shrugs*

They have the trailer in English on Yahoo movies also.
                  Here's the link

If that doesn't work just search for Ratatouille in the movies section.

I don't dare try to watch... What is the plotline?
                      Good morning, son
                      In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                      It was pain
                      Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I found the plot, and it is somewhat spoiled, but not fully given away

                        Spoiler
                        "Ratatouille"
                        Release Date: June 29, 2007
Pixar, the creators of ''Finding Nemo" "The Incredibles" and "Cars" now cook up "Ratatouille," a delicious new animated-adventure centering on an ambitious French Rat named Remy who dreams of becoming a great chef. Because of his passion for cooking, Remy accidentally uproots his family from the French countryside to the sewers of Paris, and finds himself ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau. When Remy helps create a soup that wins rave reviews from the world's most powerful food critic, he sets in motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that wreaks havoc on the entire city, allowing him to achieve the impossible and pursue his true gift. The screenplay, written by Academy Award-winning Brad Bird ("The Incredibles"), is flavored with a colorful cast of characters and exquisite French backdrops making "Rataouille" a tantalizing recipe of imaginative fun and unexpected delight.

I think it will be a good film, as it will be the second Brad Bird film for PIXAR and feature music by the same artist as The Incredibles.

                          Re: Pixar film after Cars!

This doesn't entirely tie into this but I've got to get this off my chest. I personally have found Cars to be the funniest and best Pixar movie ever. I saw the Ratatouille previes, and I though "emmm"... It doesn't look terrible but it looks nowhere near as funny or interesting as the other Pixar films. I think the reason that Cars isn't doing so well is because frankly, it cost too much to go to the movies nowadays and they've advertised it poorly. I have a feeling that once the movie goes to DVD sales will be through the roof. Let's just hope that Ratatouille is a little more than "over the hedge".

Finding Nemo & Monsters Inc have the best teaser trailers, hans down. The new one (who I can never spell, so I won't) looks really good, but just isn't on the same league as Nemo.
