'Eight' No. 1 on DVD sales chart

    By Thomas K. Arnold

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - School's out, so it's no surprise that the 'PG'-rated family adventure "Eight Below," from Buena Vista Home Entertainment, topped the national DVD sales chart the week ending June 25.

The film, a moving story of eight sled dogs stranded in the Antarctic, grossed $81.6 million in theaters. On DVD it handily outsold its nearest rival, 20th Century Fox's horror remake "The Hills Have Eyes," which debuted at No. 2 on the VideoScan First Alert chart.
