    THE SHAGGY DOG (2006)
Starring Tim Allen and Kristin Davis
    Directed by Brian Robbins
Rated PG for some mild rude humor

Disney's remake of the 1959 Fred MacMurray comedy classic casts Allen as a workaholic deputy district attorney who is transformed into a bearded collie after a strange accident involving a criminal animal laboratory.

    Bonus features include:
    • "Bark Along Bonus Features" for the family dog, with alternative audio tracks
    • Deleted scenes and bloopers
    • Producer/director audio commentary
WINNIE THE POOH: SHAPES AND SIZES (2006)
WINNIE THE POOH: WONDERFUL WORD ADVENTURE (2006)

Pooh "tri's" things on for size.

Winnie the Pooh and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood help teach preschoolers reading and math skills in two new titles from Disney's award-winning Learning Adventures Series. In Shapes and Sizes, Pooh helps Rabbit find boxes, baskets and crates for his fruits and vegetables, learning how to identify triangles circles and other shapes in the process.

Pooh and friends go on a word adventure.

In Wonderful Word Adventure, Owl organizes a series of races in the forest that the gang must traverse by using different word associations. Medals are awarded to the winners, and one friend in particular will get a special medal no one expects.

Each DVD is 30 minutes long and includes an educational bonus game.

What the heck are "Bark Along Bonus Features" for the family dog?????? What if I don't have a dog...can I still watch the bonus features?

Is this anything like those annoying dogs that bark Merry Christmas during the holidays? Just checking.

Pretty much. Quoting from the Disney press release:

"This special feature combines fun dog-themed footage with two audio track options: For the canines in the family to enjoy, there is a 'barking and woofing' audio track, and for the humans in the family, an alternate audio track that features a new version of the song 'Woof There it Is' with new lyrics created especially for The Shaggy Dog."
I haven't decided whether this is going to be really cute, or really annoying. We'll find out Tuesday.
