  • Superman Movie

The first pictures of the new Superman costume hit the internet today.
Here for your viewing pleasure is a copy.

Key Differance between this and previous suits or comic book look. First chest symbol is higher, smaller and 3 dimensional. Symbol has also been placed on belt. No fake muscles padding. Primary colors: Blue, Red and Yellow but darker. Cross hatch pattern on materials similar to Spiderman.

and Brandon Routh as Clark Kent...

    and Lois Lane (Cate Bosworth)

I have no opinion on this film (yet) other than faith in Bryan Singer to produce a fun film like the last 2 X-men films.

Ugh- the only thing I like about this is the iPod!

Neither of them do anything for me. My favorite superman/ lois lane is Dean Cain and Terry Hatcher. I don't have high hopes for this movie.

I think the costume looks dumb... But I'm still looking forward to the movie!

I gotta say watched another piece on Access Hollywood and to be honest I totally prefer this costume to the Batman costume in the upcoming Batman film. At least these people didn't fake his muscles, significantly alter the colors, added dimension and added some neat details comic book fans will immediatly recognize.

I for one am thus far- more excited about this movie than I am Batman...Kevin Spacy will make a brillant Lex Luthor, perhaps the only actor of our day who can do it as well as Gene Hackman once did. Kate Bosworth is the Lois Lane I always wanted---she looks a lot like the Jim Lee version seen recently in his run on Superman.

Lastly I totally prefer this guy to Tom Welling. Don't get me wrong I like Tom, but his acting leaves a little to be desired...and put that on the big screen next to Kevin Spacey and it would pail in comparisson!

Ahh perhaps you rushed too quickly on this film. This promises to be quite interesting. Director Bryan Singer left the X-men franchise for a chance to pay omage to his directing hero Richard Donner who fashioned the first Superman franchise.

Maybe I did. It could be that I watched the Hulk last night and have that aftertaste. I was very dissapointed by that movie and I am leary of the superhero genre because of it.
I am glad they cast an unknown as superman, he is from nebraska or something like that, so hopefully he will have that "smallville" feel to him. When is the release date?

Hulk leaves the sort of aftertaste that makes you want to give up on movies all together. Kinda like Ben Affleck's acting in Daredevil or the plot of the Punisher or even the horriable casting and story of the League of Extrodinary Gentlemen or Blade Trinity or perhaps the horror that was Catwomen---why am I excited about a comic book movie again? Oh right Sin City gave me faith...again.

Comic Book flicks that do not...

                                    Superman IV
Batman Forever (almost rocks because of Jim Carrey's Riddler)
                                    Batman and Robin
                                    Catwoman
                                    Robocop 2
                                    Blade 2
Fantastic Four (The trailer has me writing this one off immediately)
                                    Conan 2
                                    The Hulk

These are just the ones I have seen. This new Superman flick doesn't look very impressive, but then again we've only seen these pics. I think once we see Spacey in the first trailer hamming it up as Luthor, some rockworthiness may just present itself.

Oh, and the new Batman looks waaaaaay kick-!
"The old man's gonna knock on the sky. Listen to the sound."

                                    AP'er since 2004. Yup.....I'm one of THEM.

Personally, I thought AVP was the CRAPPIEST movie I'd seen in a while. It started off so good but got dumber and dumber. Insert random character to be eaten here. Insert modern woman to save day here, with a dash of blurry fight sequences. Add Alien head sheilds and tail lances to taste...

Everything in Alien VS Predator went more or less with the story of the AVP and all the histories behind that.

Yeah, Predators are normally a lot tougher than that, but the story has always been that younger Predators sharpen their skills on fighting the Aliens. Furthermore, while the woman/Predator alliance looked kind of silly on camera, Predators do try to make allies with warriors that prove themselves to be as equally strong as they are. That's basically what they do, is travel around in their ships looking for the hardest challenge and try to conquer it for a trophy.
