Folk's Indigo Girls keep rocking on label debut

    By Katie Hasty

NEW YORK (Billboard) - The Indigo Girls will emphasize their "Differences" with the September 19 release of their next album, which marks their debut for Disney's Hollywood Records after almost two decades at Sony Music.

"Despite Our Differences," according to Emily Saliers, captures much of what makes her and co-songwriter Amy Ray's compositions so distinct from one another.

"This (album) feels like every song is more different than the next, even more so that it has been in the past," Saliers told Billboard.com. "But (producer) Mitchell Froom understood from the get-go what made us different and how to combine our sides into something that make, I guess, the 'Indigo glue.' He was the right choice for us."

Met them in San Diego, both were very cool to hang with. Then I ran into them about 2 years ago here in Durango, and Amy (?) was getting a new tattoo locally.

I love their music, I hope this CD is as good as thier previous work.
