Calling all pin traders/collectors

By popular demand (I swear), I'm getting set to do a MousePod on pin collecting. I understand the dynamics of Disney pin collecting - I have a bunch of pins myself and have traded in the past - but my paltry collection is nothing compared to some I've seen.

I'd really appreciate any "serious" pin traders/collectors to get in touch me and share their experiences. Off the top of my head, some questions might include: What got you into pin collecting? How do you decide which pins to buy? What's your rarest pin? Your favorite pin? How do you display them? Do you trade at the park?

If you're not a hardcore collector but have a funny or interesting story, that would be cool, too.

Here are some general hints: Limited, Stitch, Auctions (Stitch), AP, Tink... and whatever YOU like!

I am a HUGE pin collector and will help anyone who needs it. I am such a huge pin trader that I write articles for another website about pin trading. I am currently working on a history of Disney Pin Trading so that will pop up on that website soon!

Ooo! Look out for the "special event" pins and limited editions! (the limits are about oh, 2 to 5 dollars more) Disney auctions is also a good place if you want to buy only via computer (plus their stuff rocks) ^-^ I'm happy to say I have three limited edition pins and one limited Lanyard..
