The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie is out, and, having just returned from seeing it, I can tell you it is awesome. I'd see it again. Now. No, seriously.

After posting my initial review afew days ago at 11 at night and still high from seeing it, I was afraid I wasn't being very objective. I had fun with the movie, but now I am very concerned as to how it will play to the uninitiated, or the too initiated for that matter. In retrospect I still think it was a great, fun movie. I plan on seeing it again. I just hope it does well.

I would put myself inbetween the initiated and initiated- I listened to the radio plays as a kid, but haven't read the books and its been a while since I have had any exposure to the material. That said, I thought it was pretty entertaining, though would have like to hear more from the "guide". I think it will depend on whether ot not dry, british humor appeals to you. My job is to gage audience reactions to Buena Vista Pictures releases and both screenings I attended today were very well received. You could tell there were a lot of die hards in the audience, but there both were also fairly full. I think its going to do really well. It has also been very well reviewed.Check out the News Forum for the latest news with a Micechat twist!

It seems pretty true to the book, and the narration is done as a voice over while they show the whale falling. I bet you will like it G!Check out the News Forum for the latest news with a Micechat twist!

Saw it today. I've never read the book. Victoria has. I liked it... it was well done (or should that be done well?)... yet the acting was a little too stylized. It was played a little hard towards campiness. Vic says it was very true to the book... but she wished it included more.
All in all... an entertaining film. Definately one to see on the big screen. Very nice effects. Fun. Not an all-time classic, but a nice little movie."Yesterday, a man walked up to me and said, 'Isn't it a shame that Walt Disney couldn't be here to see this?' and I said, "He did see this, that's why it's here."

what's reality compared to me
I rest on the bed and I'm sure I slowly get mad
I'm in a state of mind which makes me blind

AHh!!! Yes! That is what I was coming in here to post. I am SO excited for that movie. I freak out each time I see the trailer! (which wasn't good when it was on our promo DVD at my store playing all the time)
Jennie thought it was starting so she shushed me... and this is what was in it,
Spoilerthen I saw the "don't" drop and it just said panic and all of a sudden CHICKEN LITTLE text drops. Then Chicken Little ran towards us and the song, "it's the end of the world as we know it" played. It said it's coming out Nov. 4th, 2005 so a date is officially set.
That was GREAT. I loved it. It's not posted on the www.chickenlittlemovie.com site yet. Has anyone found it online? I'd love to see it again.
Heck, I'd love to see the movie again. I loved the robot!
