    iPod Video with Pixar

The Apple Collection and iLounge via Wired News has some iMockup's of the rumoured new iPod with a bigger screen for enhanced movie viewing.

I scanned the collection of images and came across some using Pixar movies as an example of watching the movie. I thought it would be an nice idea to post these pictures to show how we might be watching Pixar films and other films in the future.

    Side Control
Perhaps the solution is to put the controls on the side?

    iPlay
The iPlay is a widescreen video iPod with a wireless bluetooth remote!

    iPod HD
The iPod HD is another mini-Mac in video iPod form. Probably the best idea here is the swivelling stand.

    Video iPod
Steve Jobs may introduce a video iPod with a large screen and virtual touch-screen controls. This mockup automatically flips between portrait and landscape modes thanks to a built-in accelerometer.

So there you have it. Hopefully it won't be long before we can watch Pixar movies everywhere, on the go.

I wowed at the last one.

My first iPod was a blue mini, which I treasured for two and a half years until it's battery packed in a few months ago. Since then I've been living on my brother's iPod nano, resisting the tempation to buy an iPod video until a new iPod came out. It looks like it is going to be worth the wait.

Eye Candy with the monster price tag. Looks sleak though, really clean lines.

I wouldnt be surprised if something like this was introduced tomorrow at Apples "Showtime" press event!

Its all but fact that Apple will introduce the world (and by world I mean the US.) to 9.99 buy to own movie downloads from the iTunes store. Disney is said to be the first major studio to release movies for sales in the iTunes movie store with others to follow soon.

Make sure to watch for news tomorrow!

How long is the battery life for watching video. So far, my PSP is the better portable video player...

BUT MAN THAT THING IS SEXY!

$9.99 for an iTunes movie download is too much. It should be about $3, considering that you can get DVDs for as little as $4.88 at Wal Mart for titles like Little Shop of Horrors, PLeasantville, Empire of the Sun, plus many many more titles from $6 - $14.

The price of the new video iPod will probobly be about $499, depending on the storage capability.

I have the 60GB video iPod, and I have about 30 full lenght movies on it, but I rarely watch any of them, because battery life is only about 2 hours for video as oppossed to 10 - 15 hours for music.

Have faith Sailerm in Steve Jobs and his gadgets. Things will work out in the end. Youll see.

Now to the real issue... You shop at WalMart?

No choice, I live in a rural market, and any other real shopping is a 4 hour drive away.

The late Wal Mart heir John Walton, used to live about 2 miles away from me. The Durango, Colorado Wal Mart is the highest grossing store in the chain per capita in the country.(and yes it has gotten it's fair share of my DVD money)

This is funny. I remember seeing pictures similar to this months ago, and they were deemed as "fake".

Hrmm...I will wait until it is a bit more officially announced. It looks pretty cool, but like I said, I went through this a few months back.
