Lion King alternate "Be Prepared"

Years ago, I had an alternate verse for Be Prepared, it started off something like "it's time you were all introduced to"...I can't remember the rest. Anyway, does anyone know about it, have it, or also know if any of the other songs from TLK have alternate unreleased verses?

Ah, that sounds like the reprise to Be Prepared from the Broadway show, from when Scar takes over the pride. I don't know of any studio recordings of that one, though - only live bootleg recordings.

Maybe, but I saw the show when it was in LA a few years ago and don't remember that part (and it's not on the Broadway soundtrack either). I am going again in November, so I will look for it. I'm pretty sure the clip I had was a deleted portion of the movie soundtrack though.

Hmmm... it may very well be that they took that deleted part of the original soundtrack and stuck it into the Broadway show. Wouldn't be the first time that Disney's done that! It's definitely there (although I'm not 100% sure on the exact lyrics) - right as Scar takes over, he sings a few Be Prepared lines. I've seen the show twice in the last couple of years. It's not on the soundtrack, though, you're right about that. Although it should be inserted into "Rafiki Mourns," it's not.
