BKN Home Ent. Ltd. announced today (Sept. 21, 2006) that its all-new CGI 3D animated movie, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, makes its U.S. theatrical debut on Nov. 4. Movie distributor Kidtoon Films will be screening the feature at some 100 U.S. theaters nationwide Nov. 4-26 during weekend matinees.

The Kidtoon Films program is a G-rated movie matinee event designed for kids and families with cartoon shorts, music videos and sing-alongs before the movie, complete with giveaways such as stickers, temporary tattoos, activity books or toys after the movie.

“The Kidtoon Films’ matinees allow families and kids to enjoy the bigscreen theater experience in a unique family-friendly environment,” said Matthew Graham-Clare, md of BKN Home Ent. “We’re pleased to introduce a stunning all-animal CGI version of the much-loved classic by Charles Dickens, which features original songs and music. A CHRISTMAS CAROL will delight children and families across America and we look forward to bringing more high-quality animated productions to them.”

Michele Martell, coo of Kidtoon Films, said, “…we are excited to provide a free CD of the Christmas Carol music to kids who see A CHRISTMAS CAROL, at the theater.”

Genius Products Llc., BKN’s exclusive home entertainment distributor in the USA, is set to release the animated movie on DVD on Nov. 21, featuring unique packaging that “snows” when shaken, and also includes two bonus Christmas song videos for children to sing along to.

This all-animal version of the much-loved classic by Charles Dickens is retold in s CGI animation and is designed to be an evergreen for holiday viewing.
