looks okay to me, better than the 2nd one. dragons look pretty cool, and those kids have definetly gotten older. i never saw the 3rd one but i hear its good. Here it is

I don't really pay attention to the movies since I prefer the books, but this is... Eh. Looks okay. Will watch the one after this for sure, though, just because so much goes down.

The first two movies were okay, but the third one was amazing. Alfonso Cuaron, the director of Prisoner of Azkaban, is so amazing! I finally saw Y Tu Mama, Tambien today and absolutely loved it.

Anywho, I do have my qualms about the fourth movie. While the director, once again, is new to the fantasy genre as a whole, after watching how Alfonso Cuaron performed after many people doubted his ability to helm the 3rd movie, I'm not too concerned about Mike Newell.

However, I am very upset that they decided to replace John Williams with a new composer. Luckily, it looks like from the trailer they will still be keeping William's scores around for the fourth movie, so that's okay.

From the trailer the movie looks fairly good. I'm not one of those people that needs to see every scene from the book faithfully adapted to film, so I'm not too worried about the cuts either.

I guess my main concern is that with three different directors over four movies, it's going to be very hard to maintain the same tone. Cuaron's approach to the world was very dark and moody, where as previously, Columbus's was bright and cheery. Hopefully Newell will continue down the moody path since that tone seems to work better for the Harry Potter universe than Columbus's approach.

Wow, that's a lot of blabbering. I think I'll stop now before I hurt myself...

Not too impressed with the trailer. I'm sure they'll come out with a better one once they decide to release more of the clips. Hopefully the director will be good and he isn't too different from Cuaron. I just made the connection now that he directed Y Tu Mama Tambien. That's really funny. Those two movies are really different. Y Tu Mama was very...adult.

Either way, very excited to see the film and I hope I won't be dissappointed. It's amazing how much the actors grow. I hope they keep them in the movies and do all of them. There's been rumors for a while that they'd get younger actors to keep the target audience (ie younger kids) interested but that would be a crappy move as far as I'm concerned. And, wow, Hermione is H-O-T-T hot! :lol:
