  • Friday Night Lights - Who's Watching?

I started watching the show because I have a huge crush on Kyle Chandler. I continue to watch the show because it is so darn good!

Is anyone else on MC watching this show?

I look at the story lines and think about my own high school experiences. We had a star player that was injured senior year. We had a few football players (and cheerleaders, drill team members, normal people) who were into acohol & drugs. I applaud this show for painting a more realistic light on something so realistic.

The one thing that impresses me abou thte show is how real they try to make the whole thing look. The documentary style of the scenes seems more like a reality TV show than a drama.

While browsing CNN.com, I found an article on the show. I guess the viewership isn't what it should be. I really hope that NBC gets behind this show.

We have all the episodes on DVR, we watched the pilot finally yesterday. Ky really likes it for me it was okay. I'll watch another episode and see if it grabs me more. It was kind of funny as it started Ky was like "this is just like the movie!"

It is on NBC. Tuesday Nights at 8pm E/P.

We have watched all three episodes so far. The subject matter seems to be drawing us in. It is replacing E-Ring for us. We really liked that show, but not enough people watched it.

The first ep was pretty predictable. Even if I hadn't already seen the movie, I would have been able to tell you exactly what was going to happen. That being said, it's so well made and acted that I've continued watching. Hopefully they'll create their own identity as we get a little deeper.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book...thought the movie was okay...and the pilot episode was rather predictable. Through the episodes I've seen so far, if you did either book or movie, there's really no reason to go out of your way to watch.

One thing is certain, and I've known this for a long time - high school football is Friday night religion in Texas. No doubt about it.

For every moment that Kyle Chandler is on my TV being all sexy, I will watch Friday Night Lights.

I keep forgetting to tell my wife about this show. Not because it's about football, but because Chandler is in it.
She used to love him in Early Edition, which I found to be a good show too.

My husband and I loved Early Edition. My love for Kyle Chandler goes way back to the short lived ABC show Homefront. Back then, he was just a hottie in a baseball uniform.

So I had to look up Kyle Chandler to see who you were talking about and realized he was the guy from King Kong.
                          So hot.

                          So very very hot.
