Any Celtic music lovers here?

Last night I went and saw a Irish music group called "The Fenigans" in Newport Beach. It was a great concert. It was very informal and a couple of guys stepped up to sit in on feww different sets.
Are there any Irish music lovers among our Micechatters?

Of course! My faves are "Seven Nations" and, no surprise here, "Off Kilter".

As far as Celtic music goes, i'm more into the celtic music you'd hear in Lord Of The Dance or Riverdance.
I like some traditional Irish music and songs, and some stuff (the earlier stuff and recent irish traditional album) done by The Corrs.

I still have never been to the Harp. A colleague of mine would play at the Shamrock, but NB has such strict dance rules, you have to have a dance permit, and too many people would dance to his band. Now he plays at the Harp instead. I'm not sure of the real name of his band, but we just call them The Teacher Band b/c they're all teachers. Usually they tour Ireland in summer.

I am part Irish myself. There is a saying that if Celtic music "sings" to you..thats the reason. When I first heard Celtic Woman thats what started it for me. If you have never heard them, they are truely something special. There is so much talent together in those five ladies its amazing!!

I'm a big Off Kilter fan. I saw 4 of their sets this past Thursday at Epcot. I also like Brother and Seven Nations.

I LOVE Celtic Music! I grew up with it, as I was an Irish Dancer for 6 years when I was a kid...love the music! I am also very Irish! :0)
