NEW YORK (AP) -- Richard and Robert Sherman are the authors of the most-played song on Earth, and for that they would like to apologize to some of you.
The song is "It's a Small World (After All)," the tune that plays on a continual, multilingual loop every few minutes at Disney theme parks across the world -- a fact that Disney employees are only too well aware.
"They must go out of their minds," says Richard Sherman.
"We've driven teenagers crazy in every language," says Robert Sherman.
The article includes a brief overview of their career, adding songs to a variety of Disney movies.

Wow! Those guys are responsible for many a lyric that has been stuck in my head over the years

Of course, when Disney does the remake it will be called

Just because it's gone doesn't mean I changed my mind! :cwink:
Due to the popularity of Vin Deisel's "Chitty" character among teenagers and gay men (Vin's core audience), Vin agrees to star in a series of poorly produced sequels including:
Chitty Blows a Gasket
Chitty Gets Lubed
And the final chapter in the "Chitty Trilogy", Chitty Finds Love which reunites Vin and his Albert Broccoli Presents Walt Disney's Ian Flemming's Sherman Brothers' Chitty Chitty Bang Bang costar, Dick Van Dyke as Grandpa Potts. The film also features a cameo by Disney legend Herbie, The Love Bug as "The Fairy Godmother."
"George Bush... is only for now."

I know it kinda sounds like a joke, but if you go back and watch chitty chitty bang bang you will see that it really does start like a bond movie in that it does say Albert Brocoli Presents Ian Flemmings.........

Yep, I always thought that was funny. James Bond in a flying car!
BTW, Albert Brocoli's nickname was Cubby. No relation to the Mouseketeer and former Carpenter's drummer, I'm sure.

I hate every ape I see,
From chimpan-A to chimpan-Z,
No you'll never make a monkey out of me!
(cue rising of Statue of Liberty backdrop)
Oh my god, I was wrong!
It was Earth all along!
Well, you've finally made a monkey
(Yes, we've finally made a monkey)
Oh, you've finally made a monkey
Out of me!
Gawd, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" is such a great movie, and such a great score. Right up there with "Willy Wonka" as one of the few non-Disney great family classics from that era (one of my youth :o). I can't wait to see the "Chitty" and "Mary Poppins" stage productions, I hope they tour to L.A. (or i make it to Broadway!)
