I play piano. I have a guitar but I just don't have the patience to learn it.

I'm also great with a kazoo.

        Piano... 7 yrs +

I just got my piano tuned and it's wonderful!!
She walks in beauty, like the night
        Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes.....

Ooohhh I need to tune my piano badly! I haven't ever tuned it... and I've had it for over 10 years now. It sounds pretty terrible... LoL.

It is like falling in love all over again when it gets tuned. I try to play for at least 30 minutes a day to get back into the swing of things!

I played flute for a few years, then I sold mine to my sister and she played for a few years. I miss it.

Lately I've been playing the recorder with my fourth grader, who's playing at school. I love listening to her practice. And I'm not bad on the harmonica!! My first grader loooooves the harmonica.

I wish I played the piano. My grandmother is leaving us her gorgeous oak piano--it's ginormous and ornate. We left our piano in our old house for people who are renting the house from us. It's 100+ years old and in bad shape, but the kids loved it. So someday soon (my grandma would like us to have the piano sooner than "later" ) we'll have two pianos...and no players. :botox: We'll have to take lessons. All of us.

If I was living closer, I'd give at least one of you girls piano lessons!!
That's what I used to do in High School over the summertime to make me some extra money!

                    Saxophone!

Major Band Geek growing up. Even in the Band Fraternity in College! However, unlike most of my fellow 40 something buddies who played sports, my knees, elbows, and back are still in good working condition...LOL

I played Trombone. Now that is a sucky instument. We never played the melody... I wanted to play the melody. Just recently I donated my bone to a middleschool so some other unfortunate kid could learn to play it.

I play alto sax, clarinet, trumpet, flute, guitar, and piano.

I was a band geek in high school & loved every minute of it.

Yeah... I've found that I had a nice following of clients that felt the way you did!! I had a couple adult clients that I taught that, I guess, were okay were okay with an 18 year old teacher as opposed to a 68 year old one!

Percussionist always "thought" there were too cool and really were not part of the band... so they could not be a band "geek"

(heck I am a percussionist who is graduating with honors this year.. and i am in band for 3 periods strait.. band geek here...

I'm a sax (tenor & bari) player by trade, heart and soul; though I do take other reed gigs when need be. Clarinet, oboe, whatever. I seriously dig making music and have played with orchestras, marching bands, combos, etc. But jazz is what really moves me, and I'll play 'til I die.
