Vision, but few details
Residents in path of Anaheim's Grand Parkway are unsure of how much they would receive in compensation, where they would go

Anaheim - From her mobile home, Erica Cristobal sees a low-speed, narrow roadway where her two children can frolic safely with neighbor friends, whose tricycles and scooters sit in front yards.

In the same spot, city officials imagine a tree-lined, pedestrian-friendly corridor with high-rise condos, shops and sidewalk cafes, much like the Champs-Elysees in Paris.

City officials are taking the first step in realizing their vision with a proposal to remove three businesses and 91 homes, including Cristobal's, to clear space for a six-lane highway stretch between Angel Stadium and the Disneyland Resort area.
