I'm not a fan of teaser trailers that come out a year before the movie does. (I'm a fan of the book, so I'm going to see this movie, teaser or no teaser.) I don't think filming has even started on this movie, so they can't show actual scenes. I'd rather they get enough footage in the can to cut together a trailer that can actually show what the film will look like, even if they have to wait until "only" six months before the premiere.

I would love to see them make a movie version of Dan Brown's other book, Angels and Demons, though.

Actually, filming has begun, but there is zero footage in the teaser. Then again, that's why they call it a teaser. It's just to get the buzz going and make people aware of the film's existence. it's all part of the marketing.

Ooh! Angels and Demons was soooo much better than the Da Vinci code. They are perfect summer reading for anyone looking for it. Great one more movie to pack into my already bloated schedule next year.
The King is back and he's ready to kick some tail. Do not mess with a mouse in black.

          Spoiler
I noticed the A and V in DA VINCI was highlighted. That makes me happy. I loved the book. I'm also happy Sir Ian is in it. It may be good.

Anyone else think someone else besides Tom Hanks should have been chosen to portray Robert Langdon?

I think Tom is going to do a fantastic job. Personally, I was thrilled when I heard that news.
I only hope we never lose sight of one thing... that it was all started by a mouse!

I think Tom Hanks is a great actor but after reading the book, I imagined someone else kinda like a younger version of Harrison Ford (but not him though).

Ugh. I like RC, but he needs to take 5 years or so off... I've seen way too much of him recently.

I agree with you 100%. The Da Vinci Code was good but I like Angels and Demons soooo much better!
