  • Yvonne De Carlo died

Lillian Munster has joined Herman and Grandpa...

    She was 84.

    From IMDB.com:

Actress Yvonne De Carlo, who played two very famous but disparate wives -- to Charlton Heston in movie epic The Ten Commandments and Fred Gwynne in the horror-spoof sitcom The Munsters -- died Monday in Los Angeles of natural causes; she was 84.

I know. I saw this earlier I always loved her, so glamorous. Really, she was. Even in Lily makeup, she was stunning.

How sad! Rest in peace Lily. Now, she is with Herman & Grampa. *I need to tell my mother now*

This makes me sad. She was amazing. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.

A loved her in a lot of movies and on the Munsters.

She was beautiful in Ten Commandments. Sorry to see her go.

*I told my mother now* I said Lily Munster just died and mother said "awwww" "How old was she?" and I told her 84. Then I pulled up her Find a Grave page here. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg...&GRid=17377818

and told my mother that she died of "Natural causes" and again I just said she joins Herman and Grandpa now.

Then we just got talking about Grandpa. The End.

                  RIP to a classy lady.

I understand she took the part of Lily not out of desire to play the part but out of love. Her husband was very sick and so she took the part to support the family

Back in the day, as a young boy I had a kind of crush on both Carolyn Jones as Morticia from the Addams Family, and Yvonne De Carlo.

Now they're both gone...I also enjoyed Yvonne in some of her movie roles. She was quite an actress.

I think her part in Ten Commandments is what I best know her as outside of The Munsters.

Personally, I always loved the bat necklace she wore in The Munsters.

Though I was always more of an Addams Family fan, I always loved The Munsters as well. Got several models of the cars... just wish I could afford the View-Master reel set. One just sold for $166.

Since most people know her from the Munsters, most people don't realize how stunningly beautiful she was, as Onut already said. She was one of the most beautiful actresses of her time and it is almost sad that she is remembered for a part in which she barely looked like herself, although of course still beautiful.

I guess I have weird tastes because Morticia Addams and Lillian Munster are like the perfect women, next to Bettie Page.
