They might have gotten the clue, but I wonder when Pressler will.

Re: Paul Pressler Fired From The Gap

Saw that coming!!!! He finally made a misstep by staying too long. He's supposed to leave while he's still riding on the coattails of his predecessor, and leave BEFORE his dumb policies are implemented. That way, someone else takes the blame for his mismanagement.

I'm sure he could easily find something in either the housekeeping or food service industries.

I knew this was going to happen. Last week or the week before they were saying they were bringing in the old CEO because the GAP has been doing so bad. I knew Pressler would be out.

                          from The Wall Street Journal

                          Jan. 22, 2007
Gap said Paul Pressler plans to step down as president and chief executive and resign his seat on the company's board, effective immediately. Robert Fisher, the retailer's nonexecutive chairman, will serve as president and CEO on an interim basis. Gap said earlier this month that it was launching a review of its strategies for its struggling Gap and Old Navy brands.

The sad thing is that some other company will turn around and hire him at some ridiculous salary!

Yup, just got it off the AP... The Chron is investigating...

The only thing I got out of him being at the gap is nightmares of Katherine Hepburn doing that interpretive dance...
