  • TLM in Denver

Well, they've announced the dates for TLM in Denver the 26th of July through September the 9th. And if any of you know me, you know I will be going opening night, closing night, and to the opening night gala. Is anyone else going? Or should we think about doing a MC trip to The Ellie Caulkins Opera House (newly refurbished, and this is the first show to be here since!)? Any thoughts?

        Re: TLM in Denver

I plan on taking a 2-3 day trip to see the first 2 nights myself.

Do you know any reasonably priced hotels near the theatre? I really don't want to have to rent a car or take a cab to the theatre.

I live in CO Springs, but it's only an hour away from denver. Your best bet would be to get the address and then priceline hotels. I'm sure a fellow micechatter would be willing to pick you up if you didn't rent a car as well. I'm going opening night, and to the gala thing, so if any other nights would work better, let me know. I know I could drive to get you Sadako, if you really don't want to drive. If you stay close to downtown, it's all in walking distance anyways.

Wow I wish it was playing when I was going to be in town!
                Good morning, son
                In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                It was pain
                Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

In my mailbox at school , I just got the first ad for the Broadway version! Tickets for that go on sale in April I believe.

I told my kids that if my Introduction to Theatre Arts class runs next year, then that was the show we were going to see. I got a lot of people who were willing to sign up based on that fact alone. :ap:

                      Hi Sadako,

Any hotel in downtown Denver would be your best bet. The city has a free RTD shuttle service that offers transport up and down the main pedestrian walkway through downtown. Look for hotels online near what is called the "16th Street Mall" The RTD shuttle has a stop right near the Denver Performing Arts Complex. I can't wait for the show to open here this summer. If you come for a visit, I hope you have a great time!

I bought my ticket for opening night (nose bleed seats, but before the they went on sale to the public!) and my ticket for the opening night gala (amazing seats, 350 bucks later) and I'm going to get a ticket for closing night ASAP (closing night is almost sold out). I'm super excited. What nights are you planning on going? I want to know if any one else is going on the nights that I am. Maybe I can FINALLY meet some MCers.
