  • Peter Pan @ El Capitan

I went on February 3rd with my 4 year old uncle and had a good time. We drove up to LA around 2:45 and made it there at 4pm. Parked my car in a small lot behind the El Capitan that not many people know of (everything I see says to park in the structure across the street), it costed $12 which wasn't too bad I guess. We already had our tickets to the movie from the web so we bypassed the whole line waiting to get in (suckers! just kidding, haha) and got our yummy popcorn and drinks. Although I was kinda sad the buckets didn't have Peter Pan on them. I thought it was neat they offered booster seats to little kids, my uncle didn't wanna sit in it, he preferred sitting on my lap instead lol. There was a guy on the stage playing music and if it was a really recognizable Disney song everyone would sing along. Then they announced the movie and Tinkerbell made her grand entrace sprinkling pixie dust and dancing around the Disney logo. The movie was awesome, I'm not sure if there's ever been a chance to see it on the big screen before but it was amazing nonetheless. My only complaint was that they allowed late people to file in way past the movie's start time and the flashlight used to direct them to their seat was quite disturbing. Other than that I really enjoyed it and my uncle hasn't stopped talking about it. So if you get the chance you should definetely go.

FYI, the lot across the street is MUCH cheaper, even if you don't get validation. (But parking validation is a great excuse to go eat ice cream )
      Good morning, son
      In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
      It was pain
      Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

        Hey I've parked there too!

Funny that Hollywood High is across the street.

Glad to hear you had a good time. All lot of people spend many thankless hours prepping these presentations (Hey Jules!!)

You don't even need the ice cream - the El Capitan validates as well.

(actually, thank you; I didn't think they did!)

Hey, you don't need an excuse for ice cream. Ice cream is a reason in and of itself!

Haha of course. With the car seat properly hooked up.

Yes my uncle is 4 it's really odd and weird to explain to people who don't understand my strange family situation. I also have a 9 year old aunt.

That's cute though. Reminds me of "You've Got Mail". Tom Hanks' character had an aunt who looked 8 and a brother who looked 4 or 5. Glad you enjoyed the movie. I loved being at El Capitan when I went to see Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D back in October. Such a beautiful theatre!
