IT WAS a fairytale wedding for Claire Roberts and Dave Inman - and their 100 guests joined in the cartoon capers by sporting Disney costumes.

The happy couple from Wavertree tied the knot in theatrical style on Saturday by hiring the Empire Theatre stage for their wedding ceremony.

Claire stole the show dressed as Snow White, while Dave was transformed into Prince Rupert from Disney's cartoon fairytale.

Dave's mum Hazel became Maid Marian for the day and Claire's proud mum Pat was transformed into Pocohontas.

Mickey Mouse and Robin Hood were the two best men, while Tinker-bell was one of Claire's bridesmaids - the others being the Seven Dwarfs.

Fittingly, the backdrop for insurance worker Claire and IT expert Dave's big day was the set for Love Shack. The newlyweds, both 29, then partied the night away at their reception in the Empire's glazed atrium.

Claire and Dave had their costumes specially made.

Dave said: "We're not very traditional and wanted something different from suits and top hats."

Claire added: "We just wanted some fun, but I also wanted seven dwarfs instead of bridesmaids!"
