    Goldman Sachs upgrades DreamWorks Animation

    Wallstreet - March 23, 2007

    Goldmans Sachs upgraded it's forcast of DreamWorks Animation (NYSE: DWA) today from neutral to buy. The broker is quoted as saying, "Our upgrade is based on the belief that DWA's next four films should increase the view of normalized earnings and hence valuation and drive the stock." The stock leaped 1.31 points in today's trading.

    DreamWorks Animation SKG has announced its intention to produce all of its films in stereoscopic 3D technology starting in 2009.

    Upcoming films include Monsters and Aliens (photo below), Bee Movie, Shrek 3 (photo above), and Transformers.

    DreamWorks' lineup in conjunction with its recent embrace of advanced 3D technology make suddenly make the prospects for the animation unit look much more interesting.
