  • Hong Kong Disneyland may serve shark fin soup after all-Mercury News- 6/8/05

Hong Kong Disneyland considers serving only shark fins obtained by non-cruel means -6/8/05 (subscription required!)

Hong Kong Disneyland is considering serving only shark fin soup made with fins obtained by non-cruel methods, a news report said Wednesday.

Disney is now thinking of using only fins from suppliers who kill the shark and use the entire fish.

Martin Baker, a spokesman from the international environmentalist group Greenpeace, called the new policy an improvement, but said his group would still rather see Hong Kong Disneyland completely remove shark fin soup from its menus.
