Ratatouille Rolls Out Culinary 'Big Cheese Tour'

With cooking demonstrations, a digital theatre and a 25' wedge of cheese, Disney and Pixar are taking Ratatouille on the road. The interactive "Big Cheese Tour" will make appearances at food festivals in major cities this summer to promote the upcoming animated movie about a rat who longs to be a French chef.

The first leg of the tour runs through tomorrow at the Walt Disney World Resort. Future stops include:

May 19-20 - Atlantic Station, Atlanta, GA
May 26-27 - Taste of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH
June 1-3 - Milwaukee Riversplash!, Milwaukee, WI
June 9-10 - Three Rivers Arts Festival, Pittsburgh, PA
June 17 - International Cultures Festival, New York, NY
June 23-24 - Safeway BBQ Challenge, Washington, D.C.
June 30-July 8 - Taste of Chicago, Chicago, IL

Additional dates in July are to be announced.

The "Big Cheese Tour" is co-sponsored by Intel, General Mills/Chocolate Chex and Samsung.

Ratatouille opens in theaters on June 29th.

the east coast has the Ratatouille promotion.....and we have the sub promotion with the subs bus....YAY PIXAR!!!

I think this is such a cool promotion - I had no idea it was coming to my area (DC)! I will definitely have to find out more about the specifics and go check that out! The giant cheese wedge slide looks so fun.

What other kinds of stuff will they have there about the movie I wonder?

At least this promo/tour is planned better. The nemo sub bus is stopping at places that people might come to - at 5AM, while using its afternoons to hang out for an hour at a local Chevron station!

I do see a window (if they drive REALLY fast) for this to come to the Bite of Seattle (July 20-22) before having to be at the Safeway BBQ Challenge on the 23rd. Even if they would just come to the Bite for the 20th...yeah, probably not. Silly me.
