    L.L. Bean to create Theme Park in Maine

    L.L. Bean, famed Mail Order Retailer, is planning a theme park featuring lodging facilities on a 700 acre parcel one mile from it store in Freeport. The concept was the brain child of it's Board Chairman, Leon Gorman, who is the grandson of the company's founder. He envisions a "Family-Friendly outdoor adventure attraction with lodging amenities under something similar to a theme park operating model."

        I wonder if this is how people felt when Walt wanted to build a theme park. "Oh, movie studios have no buisness in theme parks". And then Disneyland came about. Maybe the same will happen with this.

          In all honesty, that is sort of what I was thinking...

          Only differance here, is this guy sees it as a potential way to market his active wear...

          It makes sense...
