Disney Sets Narnia 3 and Prince of Persia Dates

    Source: ComingSoon.net
    June 7, 2007

Walt Disney Pictures has set release dates for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. The former will hit theaters on May 1, 2009 while the latter, an adaptation of the video game produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, opens on July 10, 2009.

Disney has also set a June 12, 2009 date for a Pixar film titled Up.

Anyone want to bet they are using "up" as a codename for some different title? Also, glad to see Narnia3 is only going to have a 1-year delay (and that NBC seems to be continuing its yearly showing through at least 08). As for PoP, I believe that will follow one of two routes. It will either travel the King Arthur route and downright bomb or it will be a big hit ala Curse of the Black Pearl. I honestly can't see any middleground for it.

Up is probably code for Cars 2 or something

Don't know if this was posted anywhere, but according to Coming Soon.....

Up: Pete Docter, the Pixar lifer who made "Monsters Inc.," and co-director Bob Peterson are preparing this "coming-of-old-age story" about a seventysomething guy who lives in a house that "looks like your grandparents' house smelled." He befriends a clueless young Wilderness Ranger and gets into lots of alter kocker altercations. Says Pixar: "Our hero travels the globe, fights beasts and villains and eats dinner at 3:30 in the afternoon."

Sounds better than Wall-E, but still, seems to be formulaic Pixar buddy film.
