'High School Musical' Kids Soaking Up Success

    Corbin Bleu
    August 21, 2007, 2:35 PM ET

    Gary Graff,

The "High School Musical" kids were expecting big things for the just-premiered "High School Musical 2." But they weren't taking the big ratings for granted, either. Now, the accompanying soundtrack looks likely to debut tomorrow (Aug. 22) at No. 1 on The Billboard 200.
Bleu says that he and the other "HSM" stars are "in negotiations right now" for a third movie, which Disney would like to shoot later this year. There's no word yet on whether "HSM2" will spawn another cast concert tour, but Bleu -- who's on the road with Aly & Aj to promote his debut album, "Another Side" -- is certain that none of the cast are interested in learning how to skate for the upcoming ice show production.

"It was very funny; we all heard they were gonna be doing an ice tour, and we're like, 'What?!'" he says. "Then we heard our choreographer (Charles Klapow) was working on it, and we've heard nothing but great things. He's amazing."
