This would be MAJOR coincidence. We're not just talking about some similar names. We're talking about some almost exact names, shared plot points, shared plot devices, shared scene blocking, shared sight gags...of course that's all based on the plaintiff's account. But if there really is a disc made in 1994 that has everything in it that's descibed on that site, Disney's in trouble. There's no WAY there's that much of a coincidence. I mean, Black Pearl, William Turner, daughter of a governor, curse revealed by moonlight, curse revolving around a single piece of stolen Aztec gold...coincidence?!

Reading your link, I'd have to say it's sooo damn obvious that Disney plagiarized the script that the only possible conclusion would be that Disney is innocent on all charges and all we have here is coincidence. Even the dumbest script thief would know enough to change a few names.

But, just in case... Do you think it would be a bad idea to send Royce an email and see if he has any suggestions for the sequal?
